Join us for the Stop, Drop & Run 20/21 Virtual Race

We got through 2020 one step at a time. Now we are looking at the New Year as a starting line for the STOP, DROP & RUN 20/21 virtual race benefitting Firehouse Ministries. The challenge was meant to begin in early December, but coronavirus caused a stumble, of course. Shipping was delayed on our T-shirts and sports masks, but now we're back on track. Participants in this self-paced challenge will still run, walk or roll 2,021 steps (approximately 1 mile) every day for 21 days. And now the virtual race has been extended until Jan. 31, 2021.

To get involved, all you need to do is document a daily step count of at least 2,021. We recommend using your phone or smart watch to track your steps, but log the distance however you like. If you have a favorite hike or run route that’s at least a mile long, just write it down. To share on social media, use the hashtag #firehouserun2021.

Race packets are available for pickup at the Firehouse or you may register online. Invite your friends or start a team. Everyone who joins the Stop, Drop & Run 20/21 Virtual Race will receive either a Firehouse t-shirt or sports mask. The most enthusiastic racers can compete for awards in fundraising, social media outreach, and race placement. The top fundraiser will get to take home a Regions bike! All proceeds will help support people experiencing homelessness in Birmingham, Ala.

Stop, drop and run with us!
